Should I renovate before selling?

Usually not a full renovation. Buyers rarely pay back the cost of a new kitchen or bathroom, and they often want to make their own choices anyway. What does pay off is smaller and cheaper: fresh paint in neutral colours, decluttering, fixing anything visibly broken, and a thorough clean. An energy label upgrade can be worth it, because energy performance increasingly affects both value and mortgage capacity. Before you spend anything, ask us.
